I can neither confirm nor deny that the rank-and-file in the CIA are unhappy with this.

Just out of curiosity, what are alternative jobs for a rank-and-file CIA employee who might decide to pursue a career outside of the US government?

I've heard former DOJ rank and file lawyers are finding good employment at private law firms. And former FBI agents are finding good jobs in state and local policing.

Not saying anything, of course. Just making observations.
