I'm reading that subsidies for lower and middle income Americans will be up 50% when
the OBBB wipes out the subsidy.

As noted before, math is on Lord Trump's side. Most people have insurance from an employer, or Medicare. Worst case scenario, if everyone on an ACA plan was hurt, bad, that is still only 24M. The other 300M would said "so?", because they don't have a dog in that fight.
