Of note- over a decade ago, it was a righty who called himself “Springtex” on MF who tagged me with that moniker, just as LurkerMom started calling me “Reverend”.
Neither was doing so out of any respect. Far from it. But pretty soon, everyone was calling me “padre”, even my friends on the board. I let it ride.
One of the ways to draw negative attention to yourself is to protest the nicknames that people attach to you.
