The week's question
In March 2025, in the thread "Re: OT, out", Umm asked the members: "Do you think it is because America is made up of magical soil that makes businesses based in America magically profitable?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

Yup. To Leftists, one the one hand, Trump is a sheer imbecile. A completely unintelligent, bombastic, low-class, total boob. The Stupidest Man Alive.

On the other hand, he is a master, demonic, Machiavellian strategist. All other world leaders are completely at his mercy. They are his puppets, totally.

Nothing happens in the entire world, unless somehow, Trump causes it to happen. He is omniscient. He is omnipotent.

The major point being that, this level of cognitive dissonance so prevalent in the Left, yet so obvious, is indicative of serious mental health disorder(s), a fundamentally dysfunctional internal cognitive state. Which is the root of all their politics.

It is projection. Plain and simple.

Replying to Dope1

No one said that Donald Trump is responsible for the Royal Navy's fleet size. What Donald Trump is responsible for is the deep frost in our relationship with our allies.

That reflects a choice

No, the choice was the conscious decision the Brits made to essentially defund the one thing that made them a great nation in the first place. That's all on them.

The U.S. gets minimal benefit from these countries having marginally higher military forces,

Not a great take. NATO can't project even the smallest amount of power anywhere in the world to defend its interests. Which means...we have to.

If you want to continually repeat the same point over and over and over again that Trump is a boor, bombastic, etc etc etc you are certainly free to do so. It's boring, and wallpapers over the state of the world we live in.
