The NYT quickly corrected the mistake, which is what journalists do.
Credible news sources are accountable for mistakes and correct them.
Do you ever see Fox or the other rightwing propaganda sites you frequent do that?
Didn't think so.

He said, “My father was not financially involved in my business,” not, “My father was not involved in my business.”
