"The majority of people, who have insurance through their employer, or via Medicare, don't care about the minority that benefit from ACA "enhanced" subsidies, or Medicaid."

Your statement has been proven correct, for my entire adult life. But maybe the message
should point out to the people who can't see past the end of their nose, that if people
have higher out of pocket costs for healthcare, then they have less money available to
spend on virtually everything else. The exact same message should be applied to tariffs.
I am seeing a lot of small and medium sized business owners crying about how bad they're
getting hurt. Same with farmers. The MAGA members of these groups will not be
persuaded away from Trump, even as their fiscal house gets torched, but MAGA is a
minority.

The Dem's kind of suck at messaging. They try to appeal to Americans with messages
that tout "the greater good". But Americans are kind of selfish pricks, lol.
The Dem's need to hammer out a message that points out all of the ways that
Trump and MAGA are enacting policies that take cash out of their pocket. That
will still not reach the MAGA base, but I don't give a rip about them, they are
deep in the cult. But the Independents might be reached.

As an aside, was in a golf outing last weekend. 4 man scramble, 3 team members
were Trump supporters, and all retired from the auto industry. I told them that
I've been tracking truck prices, as it's getting to be time to think about replacement.
But the truck's I'm interested, made by the company my friends worked for, have jumped
up in price by $12k from 2024 to 2025. I made sure to tell my friends that there
was no way in hell that I was paying that inflated price, and that I wasn't alone
in that thinking. Also made sure to tell them that this price jump was due to
Trump's tariffs ( whether actual tariff add-on, or corporate price gouging hidden
by having the excuse to blame it on tariffs ). 2 of these friends have kids working
in the auto industry, so even though they are retired, their kids are likely
going to feel the effects of Trump's policies.

I am done debating with MAGA, but sure am going to point out to the ones I know that
MAGA policies are hitting everybody's pocketbook, including theirs.

I was hoping that they'd bring up the $6k tax deduction that MAGA think is going
to be an actual $6K in their wallet, instead of an AGI deduction of $6k. But
none of them do their own taxes, so subject never came up,lol.
