If memory is right - I thought Steve once you had told me you felt Israel wants a failed state in Iran. (if you didn't I rescind that comment)
I guess I felt that Israel wouldn't mind Iran being a real country---or at least sort of a real country that isn't lobbing bombs. Think Egypt. Think Turkey.
But then again, the Europeans have sabotaged many ancient civilizations into perpetual chaos, and eternal warring factions ----so it's a trie and true strategy.
And yes....it's easier to divide, and exploit,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,tribalistic people. Different sects. Different languages. Different customs. One day generations form now when Asian college kids are touring the remains of DC or NYC, writing essays on how that American power had shopping malls and stock exchanges----maybe they'll need to wear bulletproofs as the hyphenated and socioeconomically divided remnants of that society are running around with rifles too---- because neither side was willing to look in the mirror. Oh well not my monkey, not my circus.
In the past I've criticized certain attitudes in halls of power at the United Nations. France. Halls of academia. Occupy Wall Street.
I humbly (which is rare).....apologize to all of them. I was wrong. Those people were right, and are right.
