cdk hack comparison :
since another IT incident is always pending somewhere, it is interesting to note how quickly crowdstrike was forgiven (and the anger was mostly over an apology, not the actual damage).

i see 2 major factors here :

a. crowdstrike is a hedge and retail investor favorite. on the other hand, IT security is actually their primary business, so the backlash should have been much more brutal.

b. mostly affect were microsoft, also a sentiment star, and airlines, who serve up so much of their own incompetence this hardly registered.
