Um, Lurker, the largest voting block in US is independents. Even if the Democrats lose another 2 million, there's little chance they'll all vote Republican. Polling shows more and more independents are moving away from Republican "policies".

To quote
“President Donald Trump won the White House in large part by winning the handful of swing states nationwide, including Arizona, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. And one of the reasons that happened was how independent voters cast their ballots.”

The Independent voter helped put Trump in the White House.
Come 2028, President Trump needn’t worry about the Independent voter one way or the other.
Trump likes to josh about running for a third term, he knows it makes the democrats nervous.
