Coffee found to have startling effect on aging, says new study

“Coffee is consumed by large segments of the world population,” study collaborator Robert S. Chapkin, a distinguished fellow at the American Society for Nutrition, told Newsweek in an email. “It has well-documented salutary effects in humans, similar to the Mediterranean diet.”

It's getting so I don't take any "study" at face value. The profits from claiming off-label benefits seem to trump ethics. A while back, a supposed "study" claimed drinking tea provided great protection against dementia. My mom drank tea her entire adult life, several cups per day. It took dementia 13 years to kill her, because there was nothing else physically wrong with her.
