According to the FBI's confidential human source, executives for Burisma, a Ukrainian gas company, brought Hunter Biden on the board to 'protect us through his dad, from all kinds of problems.' At the time, Burisma was seeking to do business in the United States, but was facing a corruption investigation in Ukraine, led by then-Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin. Regarding that investigation's impact on its ambitions in North America, Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevsky reportedly said, 'Don't worry Hunter will take care of all of those issues through his dad.' It's true that Joe Biden leveraged $1 billion in aid to persuade Ukraine to oust its top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, in March 2016. But it wasn't because Shokin was investigating Burisma. It was because Shokin wasn't pursuing corruption among the country's politicians.Sure, Jan. Had nothing to do with it!
There's some clever wordsmithing in this article to pretend that Shokin wasn't investigating Burisma when Hunter was with them. That's a nice try, but it falls short: Burisma would have hired Hunter to make ALL their problems go away. Not just things that Hunter may or may not have done.
Were Hunter a Republican, he would have been convicted under FARA statutes a long time ago. Not to mention already being in jail for tax evasion.
