It's less about security (though that is a concern), and more about them profiting from my "clicks" while doing very little to control disinformation. Their contributing to things like Pizzagate was (and is) unconscionable. But they allowed those conspiracy theories to thrive. They are utterly irresponsible, and I will not click on anything from them ever.

I actually deleted my FB account about 10 years. They have a "close account" feature (or they did), but they retain it. I had to dig deep, but I found the "delete account", so it was expunged.
