there is definitely SOME type of skill needed to keep MAGA entertained at rallies.
trump's speeches are aptly described as '...non sequiturs that veer into barely intelligible stories'.

after repeating MAGA crowd favorite tropes for hours on end, some filler material is always needed. anyone could tire and stumble into a sporadic stream of nonsense. these have been long documented (sometimes unfairly?) as trump's lack of intelligence, dementia, etc..

we are so far beyond any chain of logic from trump, that any non-zero correlation of serial topics is a win.
trump's own answer to this has to be among my favorites:

“The fake news will say, ‘Oh, he goes from subject to subject.’ No, you have to be very smart to do that. You got to be very smart. You know what it is? It’s called spot-checking. You’re thinking about something when you’re talking about something else, and then you get back to the original. And they go, ‘Holy shit. Did you see what he did?’ It’s called intelligence.”
