And the suggestion that "they are not the aggressor" is completely absurd. Go tell that to the murdered Ukrainian civilians and kidnapped Ukrainian children.

This part is true. Aggressor was a poor choice of word on my part. I meant the initiators, country that made the first move.

As for Russian sympathies, I have none. They and China are expansionists too. But their enemies are now a lot closer, geographically, thanks to US.

Japan (post-WWII) used to have a pacifist constitution. But the tide is turning.
