This Atheist Shrewds board is a meeting place to discuss philosophy and life, as you might in a community hall, but not wanting to do so specifically at a religious church. Continuing the old tradition of the board, anything goes. The new Atheist Shrewds board is here:
https://www.shrewdm.com/MB?bid=117When introduced to Shrewdm in December 2022, the Atheist Shrewds quickly filled with posts *almost exclusively* relating to US Politics. That is quite different to just having a good proportion of the posts about politics. Thus the introduction of the US Policy board and Political Asylum.
In summary, the 3 boards, all available under the 'All Boards' menu link, are:
1. US Policy - anything about US politics that could be read in printed press and not requiring asylum.
2. Political Asylum - anything about politics that couldn't be read in the printed press - a true asylum.
3. Atheist Shrewds - the early tradition of the board, only with the US politics forked out to the US Policy board.
There are many intelligent and creative folks here, not to mention of great character, so having the separate political boards solves two purposes: (1) Allowing the political topics to be creatively explored with real focus and sense of purpose, whilst (2) secondly to keep the other boards, that are not related to politics, also focussed. Not to mention (3) the board names closely aligned to the most frequent respective post topics.
I have moved all posts on the former Atheist Shrewds board to this US Policy board, as at least 95% of the posts there were actually of that subject - US politics.
I will gradually move some of the posts not related to US politics from here back to the Atheist Shrewd board:
https://www.shrewdm.com/MB?bid=117Political Asylum
https://www.shrewdm.com/MB?bid=118Keep posting on the Atheist Shrewd board, provided the subject is not US politics, and if it *is* related to US politics, there are some seriously intelligent folks here that should be keep posting on this US Policy board!
I believe the sense of purpose over these 3 boards will be stronger, the diversity of posts, and insight within the posts, will be even better and just the post locations of the posts will be different.
