Sure, militarily we (and Israel) have pounded Iran. They really can't stop us. Their proxies are going to make life miserable for the foreseeable future. Regime change seems unlikely to me. Expecting ordinary Iranians to do it is unreasonable. The regime has already shown they will mow down protesters. We didn't even drop FP-45s (or similar) to support any possible resistance. So they'll get slaughtered (again) if they rise up.
He doesn't do complicated. He doesn't do nuance. He is unable to think about how things interact with each other. He has no business leading our country, nor having anything to do with foreign relations (which he has screwed up in almost every way possible).
I suspect we'll be living with the fallout from this for many years. The Felon is incapable of finding a way to peace. And even a skilled statesman like Obama probably wouldn't be able to do it.
We should have let Israel do it if they wanted. We shouldn't be involved. I was just reading about the Powell Doctrine. We figured it out (named after Colin Powell), but we don't seem to do it.
