Regarding the “Toll Booth”
For those MAGA die-hards who still may think Trump is winning this war, a few questions about the “toll booth”
1. Is it a good thing for Iran to be left with its “toll booth” that charges ships leaving the gulf 2 million dollars to transit the Strait of Hormuz? If it’s not a good thing, does it become palatable if Iran agrees to split the proceeds with the United Stated, even though such an arrangement would move the United States into the category of “pirate state”.
3. If you are in favor of eliminating the “toll booth”, are you clear-eyed about the losses that will be sustained by US forces-planes, lives, ships to clear the Iranian coast and inland to insure that Iranian missiles, drones and mine bearing small boats are eliminated?
Wouldn’t it have been better had Trump not decided to launch a war that has not served the interests of the United States and in truth has done significant damage to those interests?
