*Both Popeyes and KFC have lost market share to Chick-fil-A over the past year.

*KFC’s domestic business has struggled to keep up with the competition.

That's the story in franchises. In Japan, KFC is Xmas dinner, but they aren't Xtians.

One of the problems with inner cities is that they go through a cycle. After an area gets blighted by being poor, gangs, etc., it gets renewed. The first signs of renewal are artists coming in and taking over lofts in the defunct business area.
