Warned them about what? No one here expected Maxwell to say anything other than that.

Most of the folks here were convinced that the fix was in - that the whole point of the interview was to get Maxwell to unequivocally state that Trump was blameless, in exchange for getting some benefit for herself. Either better terms for her confinement (which has already happened), or even a pardon or commutation.

And then there's me - who believes that Trump's real political liability is not that there's anything in the files showing he's done anything wrong, but the fact that there's nothing in the files to document that anyone other than Epstein and Maxwell did anything wrong. Which will enrage his base as much as, or even more than, if there was some slightly embarrassing stuff relating to Trump himself.
