There is news from multiple sources about the dangerous conditions aboard the USS Abraham, currently stationed in the Middle East.

The stories are being run on various media from MS NOW, Stars and Stripes, and the WSJ.

Per Claude AI:
Family members describe toilets out of service, laundry rooms shut for weeks, and long stretches without hot water.

Moldy showers, food shortages, and shortages of basic supplies like toothpaste and soap have been reported by families.

Crew exhaustion from very long shifts with minimal days off, which military experts warn could cause dangerous mistakes on the flight deck.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has dismissed the complaints as “fake news.”

I hope these reports are blown out of proportion, but I suspect it’s even worse, knowing the incompetence of those in charge.
