Not really. Paula Jones sued Clinton in 1994, two years AFTER he became president in the 1992 election. It was all very public from the beginning to the end, including the terms of the settlement.

Trump and Hegseth proactively PAID money to keep their extramarital affairs OUT of the public eye.

To borrow from Nixon, it’s not about the affairs, it’s about the cover up.
