Ask our allies in the Persian Gulf how happy they are with the United States and our ability to defend our own bases right now.
They're a damn sight happier than the Cypriots are with the Brits.
So nobody wants to answer that one, eh? I'm not surprised.
You're just making up unsubtantiated shit and you expect people to respond. The Iranians hit a British base in Cyprus back in March, causing minor damage. It had zero impact on Cyprus itself. You're probably more bothered by this than anyone in Cyprus. BTW, Iran also fired missiles at Turkey and Azerbaijan around the same time. Are you going to concoct a big deal of that too?
The Gulf States who relied on American presence and military defense have faced serious attacks. They have realized that America can't defend them. When Trump threatened last month to launch another massive attack on Iran, they begged him to back off, because they can't count on America's defense any more. America can't defend the Saudi's east-west pipeline which is a key alternative to the Strait of Hirmuz, which is still blocked by Iran. When the Houthis began an offensive to control the Bab al Mandab strait at the entrance to the Red Sea, the Saudis asked for America's help, and Trump told them to pound sand. America has become a paper tiger and everyone knows it.
