He knew I was right and even tried to pass the blame onto Stanley McChrystal

The "Dude" and I continued corresponding for some time after he left Motley Fool.

Soon after that, he began and completed a PhD program in National Security Studies at Yale University. While studying, he also taught classes to undergraduate students. One of the people he invited to come to the campus and speak to his students, someone that he had worked closely with while in Iraq and Afghanistan..... was Stanley McChrystal.

I don't recall anything about him blaming McCrystal. Nor do I recall Obama being his "hero".
