Has anyone ever searched 'brka book value' in google? It gives a very bad number for brkb as part of its ai output. I prefer the old google.

Not sure what you are looking at.

Grok shows 1.6 using book value of the last quarter (march 2025).
Chatgpt says between 1.58 and 1.63.

And back to google:

And I get the exact same thing if I use your search "brka book value"

For some reason for me it says:

"Berkshire Hathaway's book value per share, as of the latest data, is $455,125.87 for the Class A shares and $454,914 for the Class B shares. The price-to-book (P/B) ratio for Berkshire Hathaway is currently 1.60, according to GuruFocus. This means the market price of the stock is 1.60 times its book value."
