Not a lot of activity here. I'm almost wondering if there is a party somewhere and I didn't get an invitation. :) On the other hand I attended the AM and when asked I said "Good news, nothing happened." Jim hasn't even commented on the numbers. Again what would it take to move the needle of this huge aircraft carrier? One of the biggest questions was Geico and we got the answer. Not going to grow till we fix our systems which is going to take several years.
And in case someone, or actually almost everyone missed the chance to help with funding this site. Please opt for even a small recurring contribution. This site works because of the team that contributes to the conversation. There are only two of us that have stepped up to help Julian pay for operating the site. Why do I? You can select between one-time and monthly from the Contact or Support Shrewd'm link at the bottom of all pages.

The blue star appears next to your name in Shrewd'm if the donation is monthly.

For one-off donations I take note exceedingly of each, keep a record of all donations given that I could not stand the idea of a donation being ever forgotten, and respond privately to everyone.

Even when it appears momentarily quieter, this quietness may be an illusion as there are a lot of people watching and waiting for your post. If you want more posts, create posts asking insightful questions. I think a good question is more ingenious than a good answer.

I succeeded in making a one time donation.

For those paying with a US credit card, PayPal's conversion rate and fees are likely to be worse than Visa/MC. On the confirmation page, before the final submit, you can change the default to bill your card in AUD and let the conversion be done by your card network. I saved 3% letting VISA do the conversion.

Under "Announcements" at bottom of page is an obvious "Contact Shrewd'm" link.

The "Contact or Support Shrewd'm" link at bottom of page is on the far right, in small white type against a blue background.

I bet I'm not the only one who never noticed it.
FWIW, I suggest putting the support link right under the "Contact Shrewd'm" link, in conventional blue type for links.

I had no idea there was a way to support this great board. It guess I thought it just appeared by magic. Donating was the easiest decision of the week. Keep us posted if funds for operating run short. And thanks to the magicians who made it appear!

permit contributions from persons in my location
(Hong Kong). Tried various workarounds, but
none successful. Would appreciate any hints on
how to proceed.

Would like to contribute to keep this going, and
(more importantly) to give a gesture of thanks to
Manlobbi for his gracious and most kind gesture which,
I am sure, has taken an immense toll on his precious
time and energy, and precluded other more interesting,
enticing and rewarding endeavors.

Thank you for expressing vez and two others have asked the same. I have just added an alternative donation method upon clicking the link at the bottom of each page contact or Support Shrewd'm. When you click that link, you now see two methods - the original link uses PayPal and the alternative link below it uses Square.

Thank you vez and all others for your kindness. I frankly expected nothing other than a lot of happy people, which was good enough for me, though maintaining the software reliably always takes a little more effort than you first predict without thinking further. I would (and will) keep all running regardlessly - nevertheless some donations of course only bolsters my already strong enthusiasm.

Happy to make a donation. For me, for brk and related topics, this board is more useful than any newspaper or magazine that I know of.

I will also. I have gotten a lot of enjoyment from the board, so that counts for something.
