Did a quick count of college football programming, for today:

Fox: 4 games, 2 football hype programs

NBC: 3 games, 1 football hype program

ABC: 3 games, 1 football hype program

CBS: 2 games, 2 football hype programs

Basically, nothing on the major network flagship channels, from noon until about 11pm, all heavily sponsored, at least in Michigan, by ads for gambling.

Brings to mind, the "1984" meme, which says something along the lines of "sports, gambling, and beer, filled their minds. it was easy to control them".
