Someone said - let MAGA win just enough to gum up the works, but NOT have to take responsibility for governance.
Boom.

Yep!
Now they're going to get...wait for it...90% tax rates on marginal income! The capital flight will be real and spectacular.

I don't watch the details. I like to satisfy myself that they are on trajectory for various forms of ass kickings - both legal, and , well, via "peaceful" methods too.
I am satisfied of that.
My sole beef is that Le Pen over the years lit a fire and either gave Macron impetus, OR cover to enact certain assimilation rules or immigration curves, moves that were labeled "nativist" if Americans suggest them here.
As long as a certain segment of France's population grows more ostracized, angry, and rebellious - I could care less about the rest.
The capital flight you mention would be spectacular and a bonus. My hope is that it's another contributor to economic stagnancy and structural unemployment which again - hurts assimilation and upward mobility, and makes a nation-within-a-nation more permanent.
Here's to the no-go zones.

Did you see the riots? They were expecting Le Pen's party to win, but thanks to the deal-cutting that went on they actually put a lot of the commies in charge. Then they went and rioted anyway!
lib. Riot when they lose, riot when they win.
Macron may be a tool of the WEF and the Eat The Bugs set over there but he isn't completely stupid. He can also see other EU nations getting wobblier on the economy-killing green crap also.

And here we are!
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13614769/...Le grand escape! Panicking French elite bombard wealth managers with enquiries about moving to Italy and Switzerland amid growing fury over victorious hard-left's plans for 90% tax on rich and huge spending increasesYup!
If I'm Giorgia Meloni, I'm building huge billboards right across the border in Italy aimed at wealthy French: Move here and we won't mess with you!
The hard-left alliance plans a huge spending spree that would deliver a major boost to minimum wage and public sector pay, reduce the pension age from 64 to 60 and freeze prices of essential goods - measures it claims will cost some €150 billion over three years.
But Macron's camp warned it could cost as much as €300 billion and will entail the scrapping of tax breaks and credits for companies as well as soaring income tax.
Ministers have also warned against such a spending spree given that France is already grappling with a budget deficit of 5.5% of GDP. They won't listen, and they won't learn.
