The granddaughter of John F. Kennedy has died following a battle with acute myeloid leukemia. She was a new mother and only 35 years old. She wrote of her diagnosis and treatments in a beautifully written and devastating essay, "The Battle with My Blood," published in The New Yorker just before Thanksgiving.
Schlossberg, a fitness buff, was first diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia -- with a rare mutation called Inversion 3 -- during routine blood work after giving birth to her daughter, her second child, on May 25, 2024.

Lots of people die every day many from horrible things.
Please try to stop mechanically genuflecting to someone connected to "the Kennedys" simply because the Leftist media tells you to care about this person (rather than someone else who is not well-connected).
You don't care about this woman, you never met this woman, you're brainwashed.
Care about someone in your own family, in your own community.
Then, go out and help them.

Yeah, sure. And if anyone dares to say they don't care about Charlie Kirk, you and your fellow cult members go ballistic.

What a stupid answer, Dumm Dumm.
Instead of responding to the point I made--you're brainwashed and obsessed by media celebrities--you used another media celebrity to make what you thought was an argument.
But really, it was an evasion.
Who the FUCK was Tatiana Schlossberg? Was she a leader of a political or social movement? Nope.
Just the vultures of the MSM figured "Oh this is a kennedy let's write about her suffering and pander to aholes who love to sanctimoniously pretend they give a shit about a complete stranger, all the while, not giving a shit about people they actually know."
You know--people like you.

Last time I heard someone talk like that, he got his ass kicked a few minutes later.

An @sshole grayling, likely Marco (quoted by elann): You don't care about this woman, you never met this woman, you're brainwashed.
I care for several reasons.
First, I care because I was diagnosed with an incurable stage 4 cancer myself one year ago this past Christmas. I was hoping to read her success story in "A Battle with My Blood" -- after all, she had access to the finest doctors and medical care in America. Many of us see ourselves in other cancer victims and find hope when others respond well to treatment. While her cancer was incurable, she hoped it could be managed.
I care because of my interest in her treatment. Many of us cancer patients are curious to see if someone else's battle parallels our own.
I care because, like Schlossberg, I too am a parent concerned with what I might leave in my absence. She was mother to a 3 year old son and an 18 month old daughter.
I care because Schlossberg was a young woman suffering both from her cancer and from her cancer treatment. My treatment is a walk in the park compared with what she went through.
I care because her essay was beautifully written, at turns tragic, insightful, revelatory, fascinating, and, here and there, even amusing.
I care because she cared deeply and worked to make the Earth a better place for all of us.
And finally, I care because how could I not care? Unlike some, I am not a monster. I care about people, even people I have never met.

If people would stop responding to pustules, I would have fewer threads to ignore.

You sound as if you think it's not possible to do both at the same time. Is that right? I choose to do both. What do you do?

No, commonone, you cared about Schlossberg because MSM told you to care about her, not because she was a random sick person "nobody", but because she was a "Kennedy."
Why didn't the media highlight your own plight?
You're not a Kennedy, Dum Dum.

But you don't choose.
You're brainwashed.
That's the point.
Same deal as when Maria Shriver complained about renaming the (Now) Trump Center from Kennedy Center.
There's probably lots of suffering people local to you in your own community who you don't give a shit about.
Because when you can read about someone in the MSM who you have no possible real connection to or any obligation to, you can bathe yourself in narcissistic emotions of simulated caring, and therefore, that's how you tell yourself you are a caring person.
But you're not.

You really are a despicable person. A real piece of work. An asshole of the first degree. I really hope that Ukraine posting happens soon.

By your own definition, Trump bathes himself in narcissistic emotions of simulated caring about the American people. But setting that aside for a moment...
Assuming you're not a Russian bot, I actually care about you too. You seem extremely angry. You make up stories about how you "know" we care or don't care about others, which enflames your anger. You see only the warped image in the fun-house mirror of your mind. You don't truly know us or what we think or feel.
I hope there is some good in you that will be freed to emerge someday. I hope you will get some help so that you will be able to feel happiness again. Not rage-backed glee at some "victory" about a perceived injustice, but pure, simple, peaceful happiness.

Yes, he's probably always wanted to be mean and nasty. Now's his chance! I don't see the benefit of it, other than he makes Mike, Dope, and LM look that much better.

D-Umm D-Umm,
You like every other narcissist, can't stand having your delusional bubble of narcissism popped.
The outcome as is typical of narcissists is "narcissitic injury" and "narcissistic rage."
You don't feel real empathy, you only have performative empathy.
Very easy to display performative empathy "on cue" when prompted to do so by the MSM about someone to whom you have zero connection.
You have more connection with me than your do with Schlossberg, you claim to be a warm empathetic individual, but actually you're a complete a-hole.
We live in a strongly narcissitic society because of lots of people just like you.
