What has been brought home to me is how much our system depends on norms which are easily bypassed</iL

And here it is. The internet’s most ironic statement, maybe ever.

From the side that brays about democracy, yet uses private companies to censor its opponents, weaponizes the federal government against political enemies, enlists foreign agents to perpetuate hoaxes against political opponents, winks and nods at political violence, regularly demonized its political opponents using the some of the worst insults around and many other things…

Shakespeare and many other GOAT writers could never have dreamed up a modern liberal.
