"... the nation would have no recourse to deter a president from inciting his supports during a State of the Union to kill opposing lawmakers ... to ensure he remains in office unlawfully ..."

Jack Smith cautioning voters if Trump wins...

Sounds reasonable,.... right?

Jack Smith cautioning voters if Trump wins...

More lies. They never end with you folks.

In addressing Donald Trump's broad claims of presidential immunity, Smith argues in his filing that if the high court were to rule the president has total immunity from criminal charges as Trump argues, that could, in effect, "license presidents to commit crimes to remain in office.” What about a “president who orders the National Guard to murder his most prominent critics; or a president who sells nuclear secrets to a foreign adversary?”

If the president is truly immune when he uses his official power, “the nation would have no recourse to deter a president from inciting his supporters during a state of the union address to kill opposing lawmakers — thereby hamstringing any impeachment proceeding — to ensure that he remains in office unlawfully,” he wrote.

In a court filing, Smith is simply arguing against the Nixonian absurdity that "when the president does it, that means that it is not illegal," not cautioning voters about what will happen if Trump is reelected.

Seriously, why are you supporting this POS?

For cryinoutloud, he walked off with 15 boxes of the nation's most closely guarded intelligence information. That alone should disqualify him in your eyes. Why doesn't it? Each of you spent months, years, insisting Clinton belonged in prison for having a fraction of the documents Trump kept in an unlocked bathroom and on a stage in a ballroom accessible to thousands of people.

You have Haley or DeSantis or Christie and their policies are essentially the same, so why cling to him if, as you repeatedly claim, you are not in a cult?

NYT Politics
Do presidents have immunity from the law? Trump case to separate ‘official acts’ from crimes

What’s the special counsel’s best argument?

That brings us back to the ideal that no one is above law, and it’s one embedded in America’s democracy.

Smith says it would be “particularly dangerous” for the courts to rule the president has total immunity from criminal charges.

Doing so “threatens to license presidents to commit crimes to remain in office.” What about a “president who orders the National Guard to murder his most prominent critics; or a president who sells nuclear secrets to a foreign adversary?”

If the president is truly immune when he uses his official power, “the nation would have no recourse to deter a president from inciting his supporters during a state of the union address to kill opposing lawmakers — thereby hamstringing any impeachment proceeding — to ensure that he remains in office unlawfully,” he wrote.

Someone is going to have a lot of difficulty in life if they see legal arguments made in a case on Presidential immunity as "cautioning voters if Trump wins."

Potatoe... potatah...

How do you know how the loony left parsed Jack Smith's, their revered savior, words? He is playing to the fear factor and you know it.

BHM: "the loony left parsed Jack Smith's, their revered savior"

"Transference is the psychological term of projecting your feelings, based on past experiences, onto someone else in the present."

Orange cultist feels non-cultists must also see a media figure as a 'revered savior.'

Fascinating
