Yeah. Who needs individual freedom? It’s overrated.

Who needs individual freedom?

Rugged individualism and individual freedom are two different things.

Individual freedoms are fundamental rights and liberties protecting people from government overreach. (Your rights aren't trampled on by the government, etc.)

Rugged individualism means an individual should be self-reliant/independent with minimal outside support and take personal responsibility. (You don't rely on the government/community).

Rugged individualism is suspected to be behind the suicide belt out west, along with higher altitude.

As far as socialism......

Many have been pushed to the tipping point and many other due to bad culture, and a march away from old, bedrock traditions, find themselves in desperation and are tired of it.

More visible and more structural socialism is now inevitable.

Meanwhile, the GOP offers "traditional family values", where conformity to a WASP ideal is forced on everyone. Where multiple generations are forced to live under one roof, because their pensions, affordable health care, and pay, have been taken away and the money given to the "JCs".
