Now they’re applauding a president who tells Walmart how to set prices, Apple where to manufacture and Harvard who they can hire.
They've traded limited government for authoritarian micromanagement, freedom for fealty, and the invisible hand for Mar-A-Lago payoffs.

the problem with this type of analysis is that MAGA\gop cannot cope with more than the simplest of concepts.
once past their 'trump is always right' identity, there is not much more of interest or capacity.

since this group is not going away, it will eventually have to be displaced with something equally simple (e.g., another manufactured celebrity) or they will have to be MORE engaged in dispersed non-political groups (e.g., country music, sports, conventional christianity...)

1. I’m sure the corn farmers of the Midwest who voted for him in overwhelming numbers are glad to hear that we’re going to abandon high fructose corn syrup. And

2. Does he realize that what he’s proposing already exists? It’s called “Mexican Coke”, because there are no tariffs on cane sugar in Mexico, so the price is lower than adulterating it with corn syrup. We could import even more of it than we do now (it’s available in most major supermarket chains around the country) by bringing it in by the shipload, transshipping Mexican Coke through the Gulf of America ;)

am sure anything called 'mexican coke' would mean 999% tariffs for canada.
