"Fox News Poll: Voters say White House is doing more harm than good on economy"

— Some 76% of voters view the economy negatively. That’s worse than the 67% who felt that way in July and the 70% who said the same at the end of former President Biden’s term."

And three times as many say Trump’s economic policies have hurt them (they said the same about Biden’s last year). Trump is very responsive to these kinds of things if he thinks there will be a negative political impact, witness, his ju jitsu flip flop on the Epstein files.

With midterms coming up in 2026 and Trump not wanting to be blamed if Dems take back the House, it is almost guaranteed he will pivot within the first 3 months of 2026 including perhaps removing most of the Trump tariffs, and perhaps other measures to address the bad polling on the economy.

I suspect Murdoch is looking beyond the Felon. He doesn't want the Reps to lose the mid-terms (or in 2028). He has to pivot to some other fascist-leaning candidate(s), and hold them up as the "hope for the future".

That only matters, if he intends to stand for a "free and fair" election again. He has already demonstrated he can attempt a coup, and get away with it.

That’s the aspect of this that the media seems to blithely ignore.

I hope Massie has a plan for "after Congress", because Trump isn't going to let him escape unpunished. At the rate Massie is going, he'll be lucky if he isn't on trial for something by next November.
