Dope1: The democrats have set yet another precedent, which is basically to ignore the tradition.

Precedent? Au contraire. For republicans who cannot be bothered with facts, the fact is that senator Rand Paul tried the same thing in January, 2021 with the impeachment of Donald John.

The only difference being that Paul didn't have the votes and his effort was tabled.
