In spite of the claims of soaring enlistment rates, seems the regime is fearful of no having enough expendable meat to invade all the places it wants to invade.
Army raises enlistment age by 7 years as military draft fears continue
The Army has raised its maximum enlistment age to 42 as anxiety grows over a possible military draft during the intensifying conflict in Iran.
People up to 42 years old, regardless of prior military experience, can now join the Regular Army, the Army National Guard, and the Army Reserve, according to an updated Army Regulation released on Friday. The former maximum enlistment age was 35. Notably, the policy left unchanged the minimum age for enlisting, which remains 17 with parental consent or 18.https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/army-raises-e...In my day, 42 was when some started thinking about taking their 20 year pension, retiring, and earning another pension in the private sector.

Welcome to Trump's America...
"First-Time Home Buyer Median Age hits 40, a new all-time high"
"Traditionally, first-time homebuyers were in their late 20s or early 30s. But the climb to the age of 40 reflects larger pressures: higher home prices and steep mortgage rates."
"Affordability is another hurdle. First-time buyers had a median household income of $94,400 in 2025, well above the national median of about $81,600. That suggests only higher-earning households are managing to break into homeownership."
Many Americans will now carry their mortgages into retirement, turning "burn the mortgage" parties into "guess I’ll have to work forever" parties! So fun!

Are we great again yet?
We’re getting ready to be great again, but the greatness will not immediately be written in economic facts and figures- but in remembering the transcendent ideals that made this country great in the first place.
But first- the reckoning and holding accountable those who have almost destroyed the country.

And let’s not forget those Democrats whose timidity only encouraged the vandals.

Seeing as the private sector no longer offers pensions, late 30's to early 40's sounds like a great time to realize you're getting screwed by the system. So enlist, put in 20 years with the military, and at least have something to retire on. Assuming you survive the current regime's use of you as cannon fodder.

Add in five figure student loan balances, because states don't subsidize higher education, the way they did 50 years ago. Add that most Proles need to dig into their own pockets to fund their 401k, because the "JCs" took away the company paid pensions that were the norm 50 years ago. Add that home builders don't want to build the sort of 1000-1200sqft houses that a lot of we boomers grew up in, because McMansions double or triple the size are much more profitable.
Rant #37: the program is to take from the Proles, and give to the "JCs". Now, after 40 years of the program, there is a lot of hand wringing about Proles not being able to afford anything, but I don't see any "JCs" itching to turn the clock back 50 years.

Every guy in my generation needed to think about how to deal with the issue. The smart ones enlisted in the Navy or Air Force, before they were drafted into humping the boonies in 'Nam. Every guy my age remembers his draft number, because that random number had the power to change your life, or end it. One guy I chatted with a few years ago, had an insane number, around 15-16. He ran to the Navy recruiter the day after the numbers were published in the newspaper, and enlisted. He had not been in Great Lakes two weeks, when his mom received his induction notice in the mail. She took the letter down to the Navy recruiter. The Chief messed with her a bit, said something like "well, if he would really rather be in the Army, we can release him so he can be drafted". Then he said "We have him. The Army can't have him. I'll take care of it". His mom never heard from the draft board again.
It was only the guys who failed to plan, who ended up humping the boonies, watching their friends get picked off by booby-traps and snipers.

I hope the Felon reinstitutes the draft. I'm assuming he actually cannot without Congressional action, but he also can't start a war without Congressional action and he did that anyway.
Instituting a draft will turn most people against him. Only about 20-25% (depending on your preferred survey) support the draft. Trying to restore the draft would result in a massive defeat in the next election for almost every politician who supported it.

Which Democrats do you have in mind?
We're here because Democrats lost in 2024, and they lost bigly. Do you mean the timidity of Democrats in 2024?
