Lowering inflation and slowing economic growth would make the Fed more receptive to reducing interest rates. Isn't that what Trump wants?

I think inflation comes down either way. That's my personal problem with any of these arguments.

A decline in the employment market will lead to deflation.

Eliminating tariffs helps alleviate current inflation, while also avoiding mass layoffs.
