we know from history that inflation expectations are a real effect, and usually ripple through unevenly in time and category.
although a 'normal' recession as part of std ~7yr cycles would surprise no one, biden's team seems to have crushed most americans' recession predictions. (bizarrely, to the common complaint from dems and GOP along lines of 'i'm doing ok, but the economy is terrible')
as expected, it is somewhat greater among those prioritizing biden's failures over their own success. and if not derailed, longterm re-industrialization is on a record non-war pace. (see zeihan, numerous others, etc...)
along the same lines of dissonance, most americans are against the IRA, despite being mostly for what it contains.
