How it started...
"Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured,
fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity. What has been the effect of this coercion?
To make one half the world fools, and the other half hypocrites." ~Thomas Jefferson

"The way to see by Faith is to shut the Eye of Reason." ~Benjamin Franklin

"The purpose of separation of church and state is to keep forever from these shores the ceaseless strife that has soaked the soil of Europe in blood for centuries."
~James Madison

"One good schoolmaster is of more use than a hundred priests." ~Thomas Paine

How it's going...
"Trump to create religious office in White House, to target anti-Christian bias."
"Trump said he would create a White House faith office and direct Attorney General Pam Bondi to lead a task force on eradicating what he called anti-Christian bias within the federal government."
Trump the illiterate buffoon said,
"The mission will be to immediately hold(sic) all forms of anti-Christian targeting and discrimination within the federal government, including at the DOJ, which was absolutely terrible, the IRS, the FBI and other agencies."

Even though my understanding of human evolution may end up landing me in an El Savadoran prison, I'm comforted by the fact that as of today eggs are at an all time high! God Bless?? (The christian one of course!)

So here we go: a state sponsored religion. Because, after all, he spoke only about bias against Christians, no other religions, and you know damn well the Islamic faith is subject to much greater discrimination and bias.

And this 'mission' comes from a man without an ounce of Christianity or religion of any sort. Only a fool could not see through his phony manipulation of the religious right. Or maybe they don't care that they follow a hypocrite of the highest order.

Maybe he'll shutter it immediately, 'cause this is clearly woke DEIA identity politics weakness.

"Trump to create religious office in White House, to target anti-Christian bias."

Not sure how legal this is, or isn't. As stated, it's not establishing a state religion. It's preventing discrimination against a religion. I suspect that is how they would defend it in court.

It's still BS, but the phrasing implies to me that they anticipated legal action.

This is yet another one of Trumps unforced errors IMHO, quite cringe worthy to hear him talk about it. And why now? Did he need to patch up something with the evangelical base?
Or is Trump being diabolical and clever, get the focus on something outrageous, like Mar-al-Gaza or rolling out a state religion. Meanwhile, if they hurry, the DOGE team can finish up draining the US Treasury before heading off to Mars. I

This is yet another one of Trumps unforced errors IMHO...

On this, we agree. The Felon is a walking unforced error. A lot of EOs are already blocked by courts (because he thought he could decree it instead of working with Congress to legislate it), he's already p-o'd Greenland and Denmark, and his people are walking-back his comments on the US taking over Gaza (like we would want that kind of a headache??).

I pretty much block the Felon from my newsfeed...much better for my stress levels. So, there is undoubtedly a lot more I'm not aware of**. But that stuff has "leaked" past my blocks. And he has only been working for 3 weeks.

But I need to write a check to the ACLU. I suspect they are going to have a lot of legal battles in the next four years. I may be a white guy, but my family is Asian. So I'm perhaps more tuned-in to racial things than a lot of mga puti (i.e. white folks).

Dare I say, but voting for the Felon also was an unforced error by about 77M Americans (give or take). Maybe less...they never should have gotten him past the primaries. There were a lot better candidates (from a republican perspective) than the Felon. I probably wouldn't have liked any of them, but they at least would have been competent.

**And can't do anything about it for at least two years with Congress, and four years for POTUS...assuming we still have free and open elections by then.
