The Russians have spent a lot of their strength in the Ukraine and can’t project enough power to prop up small fry like Assad.

The Iranians are now cut off from their proxy armies in Lebanon as Hezbollah is now retreating from Syria as well.

Netanyahu has the IDF occupying all the high ground along the Golan to better be able to keep an eye of things.
