Tearing down the guardrails enabled the corruption. I don't think anyone perceived a dedicated force to ripping out checks with the power to install sycophants to do your bidding and ignore you graft, etc. And it's being ignored because a big chunk of us are pliable to become fascists. We crossed over a while ago.
Democrats will be elected, but will we ever be in a position to take the House, the Senate, and the Presidency? And just how do we limit the Presidents hire and fire power? Reigning in the National Guard is a limit, but no much.

It's a legit post BUT - it's also typical of the 50.1% thinking American who can't think beyond that.
Yes, Dems will win.
But - -it's too bad the vision isn't to win BIG -- and use that political capital to force buy-in from just a few Red legislators...and then do some big and structural things.
