Saturday I noticed in my Googlefinance sheet I needed to copy out the googlefinance command for the indexes, clear the cell, then paste the formula back in to get it to refresh, but that was it.

Google Sheets with the =googlefinance formula is all you need for data/quotes you currently get from YF, including (most) daily history and mutual fund details.
