Yesterday, I finished a great book. The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams is historical fiction centered around the compiling, writing, and editing the Oxford English Dictionary. The main character realizes there is a whole body of words that are being omitted from the OED by the proper, older, male, upper middle class, Victorian editors. So she sets about to assemble a dictionary of those words. I highly recommend this book to any and all word nerds.
I think we need a new word in the dictionary.
