The other story floating around is chatgpt and Microsoft changing search. I've logged on and have been playing with Chatgpt. I have to admit it's impressive and great fun. I admit I am tired of scrolling past 1, then 2, then 3, now sometimes 4 'ads' to get to my search result - which more and more often don'[t seem to address my intention anyway. I think Google used to be better, or perhaps I'm getting older and crankier.
In any event, since we have talked about Google being one of the fortresses and with a wide moat, I wonder if AI won't shake up the game, perhaps dramatically. This is a story in today's WSJ about Bing (always good for a punchline, as the article notes in the first paragraph), but how it delivers results with AI in textual language might a) be better or b) change how the Google ad-words technology works (if at all.)
