Some flavor of how current changes are being viewed by an analyst, well regarded in India. Ruchir is NYC based, an author and was earlier Chief Global Strategist at Morgan Stanley.

His views stike me as a bit too zero-sum, but he pictures the new environment as an opportunity for India to advance at China's expense.

I just thought that an emerging market spin on things might be usful to contemplate.

disagree re:india.
as predicted, trump now claiming to be 'china friendly' means he is already in full turtle mode.

only a question of how much china gains simply by demanding greater concessions based on trump's inability to honor a deal. but the fact china has that trait in common means there is some foundation both grok.

whatever other countries gain will be more in line with steady china diversification trend made by companies' sensible longterm planning.
