While I do want punishment for you people - and I'm getting it, thanks to your own actions - I've always said American Troops should not be part of it and I am worried.
If Trump and the Trailer Trash Cabinet + The NeoCon bloodsucking vultures (yes, you know what I mean and you agree secretly) haven;'t thought this thru.....then this could be more than a CNN-smartbomb-oh-cool-we-win moment. Again - I dont follow the news so maybe it is just a quick in and out but I just saw a headline saying "we might be at this for awhile"
What worries me is that there's no "American People". If Obama does something, the Right says" hey why are we doing this" now if Trump does it, the same people support it, while the Liberals opposite. It's all about Muftis, Imams, Tribals in America now, period.
That being the case there's no visibly, unifying thing. There's no 9-11. There's nothing, And if this goes the distance and gets unpleasant, I just dont see where support is deep amongst the electorate and that ----would be a tragic outcome.

This move was telegraphed. Just based on naval movements, we've seen this coming. I agree there is no 9/11 unifying event. Personally, my biggest concern was "is this legal?" by our own laws. Congress rescinded part (or all?) of the unilateral authorization of force (passed in 2003, I think). So, the POTUS shouldn't be able to do stuff like this without consulting Congress. That's my big concern. If POTUS can get away with this, then what is the point in having Congress? Just clear out the Capitol and make it another ballroom.
I know it's self-centered. But I'm far more concerned about how our government operates than how the Iranian government operates. I can't say I'm sorry for the theocracy in Iran. Not shedding any tears there. But what about our democracy?

Last time we did it (I supported it, sadly) - we got embroiled into a national building occupation quagmire.
I hope we have a plan, and yes, I worry that will happen again.
As far as our government - until we realize that we are now trivialized. That less of us care about civics, history, basic rights, and that digital culture run amok preys on that --- our government. - regardless of who is in charge- will be like our culture, and 50% of our families - dysfunctional.
And, it's so deserved.

There was no major combat deployment to Libya. The nation was allowed to collapse into chaos. That crimped oil exports, to the profit of other oil producers, for several years. I see the same plan at work in Iran.

As noted before, Trump the Great and Powerful, is a "JC". To "JCs", we Proles are expendable meat. This is the inevitable outcome of bribery of public officials being legal, which hands the government over to the donor class that writes 7+ figure checks.
