I admit, I'm getting a bit weak. I made the mistake of watching a little news which I have rarely done in 4-5 years.
I see the mention of Iran this and that but isn't Iran - - HEZBOLLAH, not Hamas?
I know the Liz Cheney-Hillary Clinton-Wolfowitz- gang is dying to go to war with Iran but I thought Iran was Hezbollah.
Either way..... as I said after 9/11 and in subsequent years when I used to give a shit: Be it America or Israel: If you're gonna continue to let certain people into your country, well, then deal with the result.
Normally I'd say you deserve what you get, but after seeing some news I can't work up to that. A moment of weakness I guess.
Anyhow, this will happen again and again and again.
We ask for it. We beg for it.
In the end - it's true: Terrorism WORKS and is effective. In some cases it might take a few generations - but it is working.

You're right that Hezbollah is far more completely a client of Iran. But Hamas also receives a significant portion of their support and resources from Iran. This was less true in the past, but as Hamas has been gradually isolated from other actors in the region, they've grown increasingly reliant on Iran. They just couldn't hold on without support from them (as well as Syria, which is also thoroughly in the Iranian orbit):

Iran is in both Hamas and Hezbollah. They fund both and give them materiel support.
There's no gray here. This is who the Palestinians are today:
Warning: Hard to watch
https://twitter.com/dansenor/status/17109940582675...For those who won't click, it's a video of a kidnapped Israeli boy being taunted by a bunch of Palestinian kids. This is what they are.
What they've done this time is so far beyond the pale that the IDF has no choice but to end Hamas, completely.
