No- not THAT Fetterman

Looks like US is gearing up for a boots on the ground strike on Iran

Marine Expeditionary Unit arriving by Friday.

82nd Airborne- en route to Gulf

2 Ranger Regiments- en route to Gulf

Some Delta Force- en route to Gulf

DEVGRU and possibly other SEAL elements- en route to Gulf

Specialized construction unit-en route to Gulf

Follow on Marine Expeditionary Unit- 3 wks away

Could be a hot weekend.

Kharg?

Islands within area of Strait?

Nuclear storage sites? (in Iran proper)

Trump and Hegseth are ignorant enough to try all 3.

It’s easy to capture islands. Holding them is harder.

Meanwhile- yesterday, missiles landed in Israel. It seems Iran embarked on a strategy of shooting large numbers of older missiles at the start of the war. Most of those were shot down. Now, after the US and Gulf states have expended much of their Patriot and Thaad missile inventory, they’re shooting their newer stuff, and though the numbers are fewer than before, these Iranian ballistic missiles are getting through defenses in a greater percentage.

In the back of my mind is the Fetterman fight. I hope Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump have read about it.

Small correction - probably two Ranger *Battalions* - there's only one Regiment. And I doubt there's any strong affirmation of them, or of any Tier 1 JSOC unit, going anywhere.
