If that's what you think, you have no clue what Dems favor. Because it most certainly isn't that.

It's consistent with the policies and incentives democrats push.

Dems want better security, also, but they want it fair, humane, in accordance with laws and treaties...you know...subtlety and nuance that actually is workable. More courts. Stuff like that.

Sure they do.
democrats claimed for 3 years that "the border is secure". Before that they pushed back on reinforcing the border and routinely oppose any measure that slows down the flood at the border.

Only now that they're poised to pay a political price are some of them starting to mention border security at all.

They're not serious on this subject. Not in the slightest.
