Not that I enjoy being a pessimist, but I just don't see it ending well. Unless I've overlooked something.

Yeah, the 5 passengers are goners. If they didn't die immediately when the hull was breached shortly before contact was lost, they will almost certainly be dead in a day or two due to asphyxia. One particularly gruesome thought I had was that perhaps 3 or 4 of them decided to sacrifice themselves in order to leave more oxygen for the one or two remaining alive. That could theoretically extend survival time by many days, perhaps a week.

Life at the bottom of the ocean is just as unforgiving as life in orbit, perhaps even more so.
