Well of course, this is demographic.
We have an aging population.
Lots of people will be retiring and leaving the work force during the next 10 years.
That's one of the reasons social security will hit the wall in about 2033.
Conversely, the U.S. is having less children on average then in past decades so the flow of new workers into the workforce is declining.

Well, if young, willing, hard working, honest, people were allowed to come to the US *legally*, in spite of being brown, we would not have what Saint Reagan called "an actuarial imbalance". But no. MAGA doesn't want brown people in Shinyland.
I posted a piece, a few days ago, showing the US had net negative immigration in 25: more people left than entered.
